Default OMC alternator wiring Config

I have an 1988 OMC 4.3 and removed the alt. so long ago i have forgotten where the wires go! I have the big fat orange Positive, but the 2 I cant firgure out are the pink/wht tracer or the light purple or lavender color. The 2 terminals on the alt. I have to work with are the "E" (Exciter I believe) and "S" Start? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Greg

I searched all over for this info, no luck. You might try calling these people. Stone & Sons Marine: Service Dept3410 Oak Forest Dr. Houston, TX(713) 686-3011

They have been very helpful in the past.

Good luck

My book for the 1988 4.3 engine cable shows a purple/red going to the "E" terminal, and a purple going to the "S" terminal. Purple/red goes to the coil (+), and the purple goes into the big connector. If you want, I can scan it, and send it to you.
