Question What marine pan should i buy or use?

I have a gen VI stroker 540 that i am building, the current motor has a 10 qt pan i believe, but i think it was designed for a truck motor.

Anyway, the new configuration for the motor will be an EFI system. I currently have the started collecting the components Ported HP500 intake and Plenum with performance minded injectors, and will be using a FAST computer to control her down the line. I would like to add the best protection since i plan on her being a WOT boat 45% of the time.

Who out there runs marine pans and which ones.

thanks.

The Keith Eikert cast aluminium pan is the best wet sump pan you can buy. Pricey but worth it.

I disagree. Its a good pan but there is better out there.

Maybe One with the kick outs in it .They claim more HP.I never tested and , I bet Chris Straub w/ Steff's has,Maybe he will chime in.

I like the billet fabrications pans the best.I have Keiths on the Hustler , Had the Gil on my Scarab .. Canton ,Moroso and Billet Fab on the cars.

I think the stock gen 5-6 pans are a truck 8 quart???

Canton makes a good marine pan with hinged baffles (a must have IMO) at a reasonable price. Its also notched for stroker cranks.

Our marine stuff is pricey but the function, fit, and quality of the our pans speaks for itself. Mesa, Keith Eickert, Zul, Sterling, Kurts, Trick all can help you if you need a Stef's pan.

We use Stef's dry sump pans all the time. And all the great stuff from B&B!

I've got Dooley 10 qts with kick-outs and baffles, they seem to work well.

If I had to do again, i would probably go Stefs

The Stef's pans are the best! I know many people who had oil issues before using "marine" pans, and the problems went away after switching to a Stef's pan!

45% at WOT would be very impressive. Looking at the numbers on fast boats that only do Poker Runs, they don't get any where close to that number.
