Default Info/links/experience converting auto gasoline engines to natural gas/propanane?

I am considering converting a small 2 seater convertible (4 or 6 banger) to something that would qualify for alternative fuel so I can drive in the carpool lanes (less carpool passenger). (That's a perk here in VA). Anyone have any info to share?

Gasoline engines convert to Propans prett well, only a few changes needed mostly in the fuel system. If youw ant he same power that you had before you will have to make some changes though, after the conversion you will hav about 30% less power. most people add a turbo to compensate. CNG conversions are done with diesel engines and as far as I know you can't make a gasoline engine run on the stuff.

Find a little cheap diesel and start making your own bio diesel and that should qualify, no converting the car and you smell like thrashers french fries when youre driving

I know you can convert gas engine to CNG. As far as diesels go, CNG is like nitrous for a diesel.
