It sounds like there will be several new cat outboard/ Stock class boats on the scene next season. Anyone have pics or more details.

This is very interesting This class seems to be gaining popularty, new hulls being built, new teams being formed, great racing, yet one can not buy a complete motor from mercury. The only motor allowed in the class

There are lots of motors around at, Ocean Outboard and TNT they have more than enough pairs of motors to go around.

i believe Ocean Outboards has 30 plus 2.5's

Ryan I understand there are motors still in the pipeline. The SS class seems to still be gaining in popularty. I don't see it going away anytime soon. That said, with no motors currently in production, changes will mostly likely be comming in the next couple of years What is the the general thought about a replacment motor?

I say they should allow any engine manufacturer.

That should make it even more interesting...

I heard there is another manufacturer that is eyeing the market with a 4 stroke supercharged engine 325+hp (watch out scl's). timing is everything

I got to see some spy photos from one of the owners of the two 32' wide-body Skaters being built. thats right there will be two new 32' skaters in the class along with Skaters new 30 as well. Stock or Outboard Cat is going to be a great class in 2006 and the competition is going to be huge. My opinion is it will have some of the best racing at most venues in 2006.
