Key West Hot Spots
#1
With Key West less than a month away, I was wondering besides the racing, what are some of your favorite things to do, and your favorite places to eat and drink. Last year went by so fast, I think we missed a lot, plus this thread might help the Key West newbies
One of my favorite places was Virgilios, this small bar was big on ambiance with a great martini selection and good jazz. This year I would like to try their restuarant LaTrattori has anyone been there?

Has anyone been to the top of the La Concha/Crowne Hotel, it's the tallest building on the island. I heard they have a great view, and the bar at the top is a nice place to enjoy the sunset http://www.laconchakeywest.com/thetop.htm

I think LaConcha is a nice spot for a couple to have an evening drink before hitting the town. Quiet but a nice view.
Back in our racing days, some of our favotites were:
"Pepe's", indoor/outdoor. best for breakfast, a KW local spot.
"Blue Heaven". outside/tiki bar/chickens running around/rope swing/excellent dinner. another local spot.
Louie's back yard. Waterfront/dinner/more expensive but very nice.
I forget the name but the Italion restaurant right on central Duvall st. is excellent & worth the wait.
I'm not sure if it's still there but "Meteor Ribs" is a real fun outdoor spot for an early dinner. Messy, loud, picknick tables, barbque spot.
The Red Garter
The "clothes optional" club above Sloppy Joes
Ricks upstairs for dancing.
Duvall St. The bar right on the street infront of Ricks on Friday nights. Any bar on Duvall on friday nights for that matter

Fat Tuesdays, Schooner's Wharf, Conch Republic and Blue Heaven are great! There is a good sports bar across from the La Concha I think that opened last year. Great food and lots of TV's. (Televisions, since it is KW I thought I would clarify)
