Dana Marine Flow Torque Exhaust
#2
Tom R, Do a search on Dana Exhaust. This subject has come up a couple of times here just recently. I personally started one of the threads. There was no real comparisons between Dana's and other exhaust systems, but there was good feed back from others that had installed them. I ended up ordering a couple of sets for my boat but they have not come in yet.

I asked the same question recently. I have 454 mags 385 hp motors and was told id pick up 35 hp and 35 ft.pounds of torque over the stock manifolds. That came from dana marine. Hope that helps you. I may order some and see how it goes. They dropped there prices on them.

One thing to note is, they are a little wider than the stock manifolds. According to all the measurements I took, they should be about 3/4" wider than the stock Mercs on each side. So if clearance is an issue you will want to take some measurements. They can reduce it some by grinding off their name plate, which is what I am having them do to mine. It seems to be taking a long time to get them done and shipped, but it's not like the boat is down because of it, so it is not that bad yet. I am hoping it will be worth the wait! I will let you know how it goes, and post some pictures when I get them installed.

The dealership I ordered mine from called me today and said the manifolds came in but no risers. They are on back order! If I get them in before winter sets in I will post the performance results of mine!

They're sitting on my kitchen counter. They look great. Very solid construction. I can't believe how thick the SS risers are. Very heavy duty. Hopefully I'll get them installed with some pictures this weekend.
