Can anyone give me any info on traffic northbound on I95 from Fort Lauderdale, and the availability of gas on the way up? A friend who is visiting his parents down there just called, and he wants to drive them back to NY. He can't get any info down there. No power, water etc.

I work in Northern Virginia on 95 and live in Maryland, gas isn't a problem up here, actually the price has been going down.... As for the traffic it is always a mess around the DC area but it moves.

Thanks for the info, but he's trying to find out how 95 is closer to him to see if it's worth trying to get out at this time.

the truckstop at ftpierce flying J and pilot both had fuel and a couple of tankers sitting on the lot just in case. about an hour and half up the 95, in gergia it would be hit miss but a majority have the fuel issues worked out up there just get at the larger truckstops and you would do ok.
