Fantastic day for boating in the blue Pacific Ocean today!
Air temp was 71F.
H2o temp was 65F.
Wind was light from the SW with little moisture.
Swell was minimal.

With this unreal weather, I was surprised not see many SCOPE guys out.
Saw Nort in his Formula 382.
Junkyard Bill in his 38 Fountain.
'94 Scarab 38 Thunder from No Cal.
Meehan sea trailing the 42 Tiger from SC Performance.
We were flying at a good clip when the port tranny started to slip. It was a long putt back from HB. Over to Pfaff in the morning. That's boating!

Well, let's just say that I was clipping along at 5000RPMs when the port side shot up to 5500. So, I pulled the stick back half way. It mellowed out to 3400 RPM. So, I pushed down again and pegged the tach! Instantly backed off! Tried to look for linkage issues. Limped back home.
Pfaff thinks maybe it is the drive. Testing tomorrow. I will attribute some damage to the Channel Islands Run.
