Default Are Scorpions considered performance boats

I saw a 39' Scorpion the other day that looked very much like a Stinger. Was the Scorpion line considered a performance boat?

Scorpions were also Chris Crafts.

GlassDave thinks that they are performance boats, but I think just the Stingers are.

Cheers Dave.

well . . .last friday i "cruised" 50mph from LP all the way to Put-in-Bay (40mi) non stop turn'n right about 4k rpm. its good enough for me to call it a performance boat. had a blast, boat ran great an the water was perfect. i absolutly love my 260 and i'm going to hate to see it go

actually i always call it the "bottom of the food chain performance boat". funny thing is at just about every poker run i have had it in i generally run right about the middle of the pack. sure im at my max cruise speed doing it but what the heck . . as long as im doing it

not sure i would clasify the 260's as an offshore boat but more like a sport boat or somthing like that. the biger ones though, like the 31 an up, seem like the fit the description

I have a 375 Stinger,,,I'd call it a "performance cruiser". I doubt it could ever see 70 mph no matter how much power it has. BUT..60 aint so bad, considering I have air,, shower, galley,, lcd tv,,,all the comforts of home, and it just crushes 4 and 5 footers in the Chessapeake Bay and Delaware Bay. When I think performance class,, i think Fountain,, Skater,,,Cig,,,Sunsation,,etc.

I'm not going to tell my husband about this post We have a Stinger and it's all performance boat, right up there with Cigarette, Fountain, etc. We can run with Cigs and Formulas all day long.......not as much luxury as your have, but definitely performance boating vs cruising.!
