i bought an 1988 27 elininator daytona in new york and i'm thinking of restoring it to its origional glory. ken, the guy i bought it from tells me that the hull was team eliminators race boat at one time. i can verify this by slight varyations in the gell coat where the team eliminator graphics were. (also the #7) . the hull was built in the now defunked wisconsion plant. ken, also tells me that under the flooring i will find stringer mounts for a third moter. this boat has front bolsters that are in the center of the boat, side by side. i am looking for any info i can get my hands on about this boat. the gell is white w/7 color reds . the radar arch still says team eliminator anyone having archives or knowing where to find them would be greatly apprecated! thank you in advance for your time

Again contact Merlin540 or Charlie Aman(sp?) He has a lot of experience and knowledge with this hull and bravo drives. He is in Cincinnati, OH. I don't know if he'll be able to answer questions about that particular hull but I think he made that hull go faster than any other. He said his hull was very light weight, he couldn't walk on the bow comfortably. But this made it very fast. Mine is a tank. Takes 1200hp to get it to 100, but I can plane at 25 mph, easily pull my 9 yr. old skiing. It hanldes very rough water very well and turns more like a V than a tunnel. As for the 3rd motor, I doubt you'd want a 3rd. one in there but it would fit. I'm sure this design was for a single application. To update, just call fred and give him your credit card, that is after you go through the hull and make it sound.

Did you buy the one on ebay? they did build boats in Wisconsin until around 1992
the boat needs shortened drives and big power and it will run. that is what merlin540 did
I also know some one who had the center pod cut out it ran good

the shorties will work without the boxes maybe even better than with i put a 2" shortie on my 92 24 daytona without a box and picked up 10 mph
the older boats have a lower x than todays boats that's why they like the shorties
if you need some shorties pm me and i will get you some prices
