Collector Car Insurance
#1
Anybody got anything to do with collector car insurance. I'm picking up a mint 1965 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe, 327/365 within the next 7/10 days.
Anybody know who to call???? Thanks.

I have a cobra replica that I was able to get insured through State Farm - The coverage and price was the about the same as the specialty carriers, but I don't have the restrictions on mileage, where I can drive it, etc etc etc..

Check Hemmings Auto News. Lots of ads. Most require you to drive less than 500 miles a month to get excellent rates. Restricted areas to avoid driving or parking the car. Same deal for Ferraris etc.

Beautiful vette http://www.hagerty.com . I have an original 69 Z/28 and just finished my wife's 71, 369 Nova and both with Hagerty. 20% off 2nd car. They had the best collector car rates I could find. They have no winter lay ups or mileage restrictions and insure for the value you set. Just need 4 pictures, front, right, left and interior.

I checked some of the speciality ins co's and found adding to my geico ins. was cheaper. Just tell them its a garage kept weekend car, and get an agreed value. I'm paying about 300 a year on an 01 Vette w/ full coverage.
