am looking at buying two pair that are used, but was wondering why cmi doesn't make these anymore. thx, ratman

There is some talk of consolidation of styles at CMI since there's some overlap in product, but as far as I know, the Splits are still available.

The CMI web site was recently upgraded and they still list the product.

If they're in good shape Phil, I see no issues. I stock all the parts for them. Clamps, gaskets, seals etc are all readily available.

The new sweeper style is within 10% of the hp of the split tube based on some testing I've witnessed and I would guess far less costly to produce.
