They only made a few of them, I happened to own one for a very short period of 4 months. I had a 96 34 Vyper, and wanted more speed and better quality, so I ventured into a single step boat demo (38 top gun) with 30 hours on it. The ride and handling was down right scary, skipped on turns, very very unstable. Had a few quality issues, which has been straightened out since Skip has come aboard. I traded it (no more steps for me) for a non step boat to the same dealer for a 42 Sonic, which is still in the family to this day. Cig only made this model for 1 year, I believe. I would definitely pass. If you are looking for a single step boat, look at the 37 A.T. I owned one right after the Sonic, (what a sucker, 71mph was too slow ) great bottom, great ride, awesome test ride before I bought, very good quality (not the best) but for what you pay a true value, and Pat is a good guy once you get to know him, meet his wife Diane, she is alot prettier and much nicer to deal with. Good luck. Jeff

There is another thread on this exact subject going on in the Cigarette forum. That single-step race boat with the chrome letters on the side seems to have been for sale forever, fwiw
