Currently I am running a 250EFI Saltwater on 2002. Very happy with it. Seeing speeds of 66-67 mph. Running modified 23 trophy plus.Very economical to run fuel wise compaired to a 200 I ran on 1989.
From posts I have read there may be more performance obtainable with differnet prop , set backs ect .

I know you said on not in.

As with most things that are "high performance" I would doubt a 300X is as reliable as a 250.

You would have to ask Bash himself why he is selling his 300.

I heard rumors of a bigger badder Merc and Evinrude comming out(400hp?). Maybe he's getting a jump on the release.

Bash is no chump. He sees all , knows all and is always watching. I would ask the man himself whats next.

My old 300x(2001) I had issues with not wanting to tach past 6200 even with trimming it to the moon. I also replaced the drive shaft to the lower unit(a special hardened steel one for the X) due to corrosion and wiping out the top seal in the lower unit(my second season of use in primerily fresh water)which was covered under the 3year corrosion warranty. THe 300X sure likes the gas as well! Ive heard rumors as well of a 400 hp

Bash came to the shop a month ago. Told me his 300 detonated again. Luckily it still had a month left on the warranty. I think he's going back to a 250.
