Thanks to T2x,Hugetime1,and Trick Marine,my new personal boat is finally home in Jasper,Al. It's a 1963 Glasspar G-3,nicely restored. The first boat I ever bought was a 1963 G-3,so I'm like a kid with a new toy. Ran it today with the 60 Evinude that was on it,but we found a 100 Merc to go on it,just like I had in 1963 that we will install tomorrow. All I need now is a 1961 Plymouth Fury convertible to tow it with and i will have come full circle
Karen is not impressed, she would not ride in it today. She said if I am excited about such a boat,I must be old. Gues she's right

When I nailed the throttle today after 40 years,I did not expect the 60 OMC would do much, but it jumped up on plane, ran faster than I expected, and wondered how I could have run it with a 100 Merc back then. Boat seemed so small, only 13'-7",but I ran it for 4 years back then. Memories play tricks on you after all this time, but like the old Ronnie Milsap song, today "I was back in the 60's tonight". It's a good thing. Robert

Here's a G3 with what I believe is a 45 hp Merc 4 cylinder. Not Magicfloats , but a G3 non the less. They have always been one of my favorites. Congratulations Robert

Cool boat
My parents had one of those when I was a kid. I cracked the transom jumping waves in Barnegat bay when I was 15 years old, Dad was pissed !
