Inside Hydra Powerboats
Here is a World Champion company that broke into the offshore racing circuit back in the late '80s.
Familiar names would be Hydra Bandit, Koncrete Kat, R&R, Finish Line, Smokey & The Bandit, Spirit of New Jersey, Team Hydra and BENIHANA.
After 20 + years in the business, the company has built many forms of Powerboats. From Government Customs Boats for Panama to Luxury Fishing Catamarans.
Lately they have been producing some rather nice Vee Hulls with the latest Vacuum Bagging techniques and producing hulls in great strength to weight ratios utilizing epoxy, carbon fiber, kevlar and balsa components.
Currently offering 27 ft to 43+ boats, this company is a limited production custom hull builder located right in the heart of New Jersey.
I have had hands on experience building boats with this company and it is where I gained most of my knowledge in the manufacturing industry.
