If you are referring to Cherokee Powerboats in Miami:
They made a single I/O 24'
A 28' twin outboard fish boat,
A 28' twin I/O sport boat

They are currently out of production. (1998 was the last reported year).

There was also a Cherokee/McKenzie boat out of Tennessee, but they built only small outboard aluminum boats from 1971 to 1980.

That's all I know. Sorry.

Isn't Cherokee Eric Froberg's old company? I thought it might be the Apache 28' mold, not sure though.

I was thinking the Apache might be a Cherokee mold.

My Brother owns original Cherokee Renagade 320

Speaking of awesome offshore racing boats my brother Pat Hyland owns the original showroom model with cubby cabin and live well (converted to ice chest/bar) The boat will do 85 easy on the rough Lake St Clair with it's deep v hull and twin blueprinted 454's. Great fun as the other 2 were used in offshopre racing before the Cherokee Boat company went uder and sold hull and designs to Apache.
