Default New Rig Recommendation

I am purchasing a 34' DCB with an Extreme trailer that has electric brakes. I have an 04 250 SRW PSD that I tow with when not in the shop! The rig will weigh in at 12,000. What will I need to operate the electric brakes? I know the 05 PSD has the eletric brake console on the dash. My ramp is steep and it would be nice to be able to deploy the brakes while backing in.

If the truck has the controller all ready in there, then all you should have to do is plug in to the 7 pin harness on the back of the truck and go. But, some of the factory controllers will not work with all electric brake systems. Check the brakes by activating it on straight level ground manually. You should feel the truck stopping or at least a lot of drag.

I don't think I've got a controller, not that I can see. What kind of controller do you recommend and where is the best place to get it. Thanks

Any place that installs hitches or sells trailers can help. Then there is always the internet..................www.drawtite.com, or just do a search in the phone book under Hitches. I stock them here @ $100.00 plus install. Just ask for an electric brake controller and they can lead you from there.

Well taken care of boat. I know Art well and all of his boats have been well taken care of. I have a few pictures of it from my poker runs I will try to post.

Your powerstroke should have a harness in plastic in the glove box that wires to a electric harness and then plugs in under the dash panel under the column toward the top right of the opening.
