Default repower w/alpha drive

Purchased a 2000, 21 Ft Caravelle Interceptor (approx 3100#) w/a 5.7l votrec. It is rated @250 Hp w/ 2bbl carb. Needs to be rebuilt or replaced due to overheating issue. Want to maximize optput with out compromising Alpha Gen II drive or dependability. Trying to decide who to approach. Any thoughts appreciated.

Option 1: Stroking to a 383 (approx 375 Hp & 400 ft lbs). Would love to do this (rebuild cost approx $3400), but looks like Alpha would have to be babied (Care on hole shot, aux cooling, synthetic, etc). Is this a wise option to consider?

Option 2: Rebuild @ 5.7l with little more cam and add 4 bbl intake / carb. Rebuild cost approx $3000.

Option 3: Buy new Par Pac 5.7l (New GM base eng with distributor, fuel system, flywheel). Rated @ 310 Hp. Cost $3600.

A friend had a 20' Rinker bowrider 350/mag/alpha. Replaced it with GM 325hp crate engine for a year. Wasn't satisfied replaced replaced cam for another year. The third year replaced the whole thing with a 406 SBC dynoed at amost 500 hp . Ran this combo. for three more years. The only drive problem he had was when he hit an object at 70 mph and broke the lower portion off below the mounting bolts and left the lower gear case hanging by the two tilt rams .
Any of your options should work . Put a Simrek drive shower on it too. www.driveshowers.com. Heat's your enemy.
