I recently installed a set of Konrad drives on a customers 40' Scarab, replacing his broken TRS drives. I built a couple of 650 HP engines for this boat a couple of years ago and he managed to keep the TRS's together for about 150 hrs. He was running 22" pitch Bravo 1 props at 5500 RPM and 65 MPH gps. We bolted on the Konrads, which was a very straightforward process. We switched to 26" Bravo props and were able to spin them to 5300 RPM at 72 MPH. The drives are 2" shorter than the TRS's so we were a little concerned about prop slip at slower speeds. But, it was not a problem. Cruise speed is up about 5 MPH. Bottom line is they work fabulously and the owner is very happy.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like the the TRS was installed pretty deep.
