Default OE campared to...

Comparing an OE to other cats, such as skater and spectre, am I wrong in doing this? These seem like much bigger boats, freeboard and all.
Are they as fast?
Are they better in rough waters?
Is insuring them as tough?
Sorry for the newbie q's.

OE is the only stand up and walk around cat. Great 100 mph+ party boat. Excellent ride in rough water and lots of freeboard.

Insurance, like any other cat.

Stabbin cabin, that's funny. What ever happened at Shooters 21 after the OE backed into the Crownline?

When wrenching in the engine compartment, I stepped on the shifter cable and it broke. We screwed the end on with about a 1/4" of thread. We were boating fine the whole weekend until we went to Shooters. When I put into reverse to back in, the cable came out of the red plastic piece. We weren't going fast but when I killed the motor with the ignition switch, it still was moving. Boy did that scare the ship out of me. Thank god no damage.

Now I changed everything in the engine compartment. I can step on a new U-joint guard. Cables are all brand new. Custom built motor quick change cradles.

Looks good. What year is your boat? What power are you going to run in 06?
