Well Vickie, who is the reigning state of Michigan masters division champion speed skater (inline roller blade type race skates) got knocked down while skating with her kids Sunday night. Turns out it was her own son who bumped into her (he feels terrible about it... he's on the team too). Tore her ACL is the preliminary diagnosis. She is to see a specialist on Friday. Needless to say, she has her knee immobilized and won't be able to walk around the show or get into any boats... and I don't feel right leaving her home all alone this weekend while her kids are at their dad's house.

We were hoping to get together with all of you again this year... but it's just not to be I guess. And yes, she is PISSED that she isn't going to be able to defend her title... she has not lost a single race this season so far.... 9-0. I feel really bad about this... so bad I do NOT bring it up at all.

Sorry to hear that. Tell Vickie we said Hi and to get well soon. Unfortunately there is a lot of rehabilitation that goes with the ACL surgery. It's a good thing she is athletic because it will make it easier for her.

Wow I never knew that Vickie has a title Sorry to hear about the injury I hope it goes well for her. One of my friends did that wakeboarding and it took awhile, but the following year she was snow skiing and wakeboarding like it had never happened. All the best to her, and you are a good guy staying by her side.
