Default Best performer/value ~ Donzi 38 ZR or 38 Fountain lightning?

I know there's been a lot of this lately, " but" This is a real case scenerio. My father is looking to step up from his 36 Outlaw 575's (I know, don't even say anything )

and

I can tell that he's pretty interested in either one of these with 525EFI's. I know both boats are comparable in top speed, but give me your opinions to base a decision.

Must have's: Large cockpit, he likes to stand and drive with drop down bolsters, so (deep freeboard). Also big bikini pad and swim platform with big ladder and last but not least, flushing toilet that can be pumped out.

keep it fair!! It would be the 42 Fountain and the 38 Donzi in an "apples to apples" comparison!!!

They are both very nice boats!!!

I've never found Fountain comfortable to stand up in the bolster.

Did I hear Baja?

I'd like to see him in a step bottom, plus trying to go a little bigger.

What do you think a 38 fountain is?

At least the Outlaw has a bolt on swim platform....

The 36 Outlaw is a bigger, deeper, slower boat than the Fountain 38

Personally, please fountain guys don't take offence to this...

Harper, personally I'd take the 35 Poker Run Outlaw with 525 over the 38 Fountain. You said you/he(father) wanted longer than the 35 Outlaw. INMO the 38 Fountain is a 35' boat without the platform and beak. At least the Baja has a bolt on platform.... I'm 6'5 and don't find the Fountain comfortable to stand sit or anything in.... You mentioned your father likes to stand. I don't find the bolsters in the Fountain are high enough...... Just my opinion...
