Default BW trans models

Can I go to a 10-18-014 BW trans from a 10-17-016 without altering anything? Are they basically the same size with different internals?

72c is longer by exactly 1 inch.71c has 4" coupler while the 72c has a 5" coupler. Can which couplers from one to the other if needed (low HP only). In your case that is the TRS ready trans. Merc tailstock will fit. Have to move motor 1 inch fwd.
