One of the most recognized music clubs in the world may be torn down in lieu of condominiums.

Yeah man, I agree. I spent many Saturday nights there myself. Seen the Boss play there before he was famous. It's a landmark, an icon. Asbury wouldn't be the same without it.
I heard about it on a local radio station (in Orlando, FL) and sent them an e-mail wishing them luck in their fight.

I spent many, many nights there myself..I was an audio tech...did alotta good bands...from what I've read, the 'wreckingball' is a little extreme...All the plans are still in the discussion phase..
Anyway...I'd hate to see it go, that's for sure..

There is a meeting to be held and the only thing the News would report today was that the owner of the club Domenic Santana would be accompanied by a very influentual person that frequented the club. My only guess would be of course "BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN". If it's not him then maybe it's "T@#Y" with "THE BAT"

Planner hired by the city says the Pony can stay where it is. They would just build a buffer zone around it with condo's marketed towards people that enjoy the music and night life. 600 people showed up for the meeting on Saturday. Most were in support of Saving The Stone Poney.
