Default Hot spots in the midwest...

We have six boats ranging in size from 25' to 42' traveling three weekends per month located in Southern WI. We spend alot of time on the Mississippi river, Lake Winnebago, and Lake MI. , along with one week at LOTO. We are looking for new places to travel to within 300-400? miles of southern WI.
Any suggestions???

Come see us down in Hammond on Lake MI. Check out chicagopowerboat.com or the club section here to find out when we'll be playing. Chicago Poker Run is July 22nd this year.

Default Lake St. Clair, Southeast Michigan

Take a trip over to the most heavily used water way in the world (per area). Lake St. Clair is great in the summer, if you want to anchor and party, or if you want to run to a few destinations. Lake usually has nice conditions to for the folks in the 25 foot boat range, they wouldnt have to worry abou thigh seas. Could make a run from Lake St. Clair down the Detroit River, check out the sky line, into Erie over to Put In Bay Ohio and have a blast.

What is the date of your poker run and do you have any info posted to a web site? Is there any areas to pull up onto the sand and let kids out to swim? Are there any bars or resturants to pull up to? Are the ramps set up to float a 42?

Or call my cell at 608-558-2010

Thanks...

Put-In-Bay and Kelleys Island on the Western Basin of Lake Erie. LEOPA poker runs are fun and friendly, held three times/summer. See LEOPA website for schedule.

Hey neighbor, we're in Wisconsin also...

We've gone to Kentucky Lake/Lake Barkley and it was O.K. but was pretty desolate where we were.

We went to Grand Lake in OK last year and had a BLAST!! Not as busy as LOTO but still enough going on to make it fun

Now we're working on moving to Texas, Lake Travis area.
We've had enough of the lack of "performance" boating in Wisconsin, not to mention the cold weather....
