Its been kept very low key. The unveiling is at Miami. 106 is smoking. Thats 12 MPH faster than 'my 06 38 with staggered 600 SCI's shorties, and Maximus props.

Not to mention the LOAD when they tested it and brand new engines.

I did some checking into the boat and I heard that while the boat did reach the 105 mph area, it did it with only the test driver and enough fuel to run the tests. That's still great IMO. When they stuck 5 people and half a tank of gas in the boat it turned just over 100 - still great for a 38 with a cabin.

On the downside - the boat was so proped for the top end that it took forever to get on plane. They achieved the additional speed by putting a full stagger in the boat which in turn makes the cockpit on it very tight for a 38 ft boat. There's no free lunch I guess.

Anyways, I hope it does go 106 with a full load but I'd be happy with 100 and a full load but that's not what I'm hearing.

Guess we'll just have to wait a bit to find out what it really does.

...I like Fountain's a lot...but a 2' beak and a 2' swim-platform mean the 38' is true 34'er...

..and...a fast one at that

Just want to help clear up some questions.

1) 109MPH with one person. Slow to get on plane.
2) 106 with five people and 70 gallons of fuel
3) Spacer put in to take lag out of coming on plane.
Will be tested again after MIAMI before it goes to new owners home. Should run consistant 104 with load.

Our Mercury 850 42 is going into production soon. We will let all the OSO members know the outcome. This boat is being built for our dealership and will be run on several poker runs this summer.

We take all trades (Boats, Cars, Bikes, Etc.)???
