Donzis New 43 ZR Hits Home Run in AC
We had an awesome set up at the AC boat show. I have always had a love and desire for Donzi being a Donzi owner myself. But this new direction Donzi is going in is a home run
The 43 ZR is one awesome boat, nice detail and Donzi is now producing true Performance Boats. Here is a sneak peak of the 43 with 900 Teagues and Number 6 Drive Mercs

I saw the ones they used for the Miami Vice movie at Spinnaker Marina and was impressed! They are super nice! Then that article on the one in PBM last issue w/the tripple 525's ran in the 90's. That's impressive for such a big boat.

The 43' looks like a sweet boat. I managed to crawl through a 35 ZR at the L.A. Boat show. It was a nice looking boat also. I didn't like the way the entry into the cabin was dificult, the head was really small (low cieling) and the v-berth was only like 18" high. The boat looked good, but the cabin wasn't very usuable.

Awesome!! I've had the pleasure of driving a 38ZR sit-down with 575's and man that boat rocked out on the Atlantic ocean. Full bag, full pax, and well into the 90's GPS, and the harder I drove it the better it handled the seas. Love the new versions with the cuddy and kewl dash layout.

Trout, I'm sure FrankC will give you the exact sccop,( 
sorry) but I sort of remember him telling me it had something to do with the scoops allowing the engine compartment to be completely equalized in pressure.

The factory rep from Donzi Rep. at the AC boat show it was for equaliziing the engine compartment pressure, to prevent vaccum (or too much postive pressue). I asked about the vents last week.

I saw the boat testing in Sarasota a couple of weeks ago.
They were at 109 MPH then, but still far from optimum dialing-in.
By far the best looking Donzi I've ever seen!
