Default How do I touch up Paint

I removed the canopies on my boat and the paint chipped where the canopy assembly ended in the middle of a paint line. When I reassemble it, I need to touch up the paint. I have an airbrush set up but do not know how to prep the surface. I will need to prep the side of the canopy assembly and the deck of the boat. How do I do this? While I am at it, I want to touch up some scratches I have in the sides of the boat, how do I prep this area? What is involved in cure time?

Thanks in advance

Shawn

Touch up in my opinion is harder than painting the whole thing. Blending is an art form. I am not a pro painter, but I have painted a lot of cars and boats (hobby). If you need to ask how to prep (basic stuff) my guess is you may be better off taking it to a pro. The prep is easy, the painting and making it look good are hard. I can not do it well.
