North Point Marina?

I cannot recall ever seeing one there. Maybe they will.
You can leave boat on trailer in a secure building so you don't have to tow except to splash. Another option.

No they do not allow hoists at all... they do not like how they look. I can not use the in-out service at NorthPoint, as my Hustler does not 'look right' on the forks, so I have to keep my boat on the trailer in one other the 'secure' buildings (just waiting for something to get taken).
Scott Shogren has a hoist for sale, which sits at Waukegan Harbor. Scott's hoist is grandfathered in, as this harbor does not allow hoists either (this hoist is a fixed mount that held his 47' Fountain).
If you can get them to allow hoists... I'm in!!!

I do not believe Waukegan allows lifts, but I could be wrong. I had checked into this 2 years ago, but did not get very high up the ladder to get answers. Scott's lift at Waukegan was grandfathered in (as I understand it).
Might be worth a call to Waukegan Harbor.

It seems that alot of the marinas do not allow lifts. I don't understand why, they look bad etc???? If they are worried about appearance they should ban some of the old POS cruisers that are real eye sores in the marina. Performance boaters can never catch a break!!!

I've heard that the reasons they don't like the lifts are 1) Too much stress on the floating docks (complete bs) and 2) they can't rent out your slip to any transients if you are gone on a trip.
