Default 241 Liberator prop

I have a 241 liberator with a single 383 (380-400hp) alpha. I have not yet got the boat on the water, so when I start I would like to have a good idea of what prop I should try.

Anyone have a good idea?

Thanks in advance

A single small block in a 241? Thats gotta be kinda pokey. My 87 241 Had a 600hp 540 and a bravo drive. It ran around 68.

I tried a Bravo 4 blade, a mirage 3 blade, revolution four blade, and a ydromotive four blade. Liked the rev the best.

You'll probably need a 19P.

Thanks,

I know it will won't win too many races , it ran in the low 40's with the 350 mag (270hp) and a 15P stainless (cheap lookin one) I'd like to think a few more mph could have been squeezed out of a better prop, but hard to say because it wasn't mine at that time.

I'd be happy with the setup if it gets 55.

I've heard to stay away from 4 blades on alphas on heavy boats. I'd love to have the BB and bravo you had

I think it originally had a king cobra w/a 460. The boat is a '87 and the motor/sterndrive is an '89

87 would be a Merc package...OMC came in late 88. Probably one of
the 330-Alphas.

Wonder why someone would have switched? I know the 350 motor had work done to it, as there is sillycone on the intakes and timing chain cover. Haven't torn it apart yet past the heads though.

I'd be happy with 55, but I expect 50-53. I hope not any slower

I had an 88 211 with a 460 KC then a 540 KC can we say 80? I never saw a single sb 241. They are a lot of boat for a small block
My 460/211 topped out at 62 mph. 241s(stock) got 55/58.
On a brighter note , That Liberator is one SOLID boat.
