Default Fair asking price on a big block?

Sometime in the near future, Im going to part out my cousins 1987 BAJA 240 Sport. It has major bottom damage and he isnt going to fix it. I have an idea of what the trailer, drive and gimble are worth, but what would a fair price be on a good running used 454?

Or would I be better off selling the whole boat as a parts boat only?

Is it carb or efi? How much HP, hours, who built it? Lot of variables. I sold a 454 Mag MPI that needed a lot of work for $1400. The fuel system and the ecu was probably the most valuable parts.

I'll have to take a look at it and find out for sure.

Here is the boat.

The trailer is a 99 EAGLE in excellent shape, like new.
The Bravo drive is newer (the original was stolen).
Gimble in good shape.

The bottom has a big section that was repaired poorly then delaminated. He was lied to by the previous owner. He'd like to get $5000 for the whole thing. He's taking a hit at that price, because the insurance company wouldnt talk to him.
