They look like Dart Iron Eagles. Good choice for running in salt water.

id go with alum, all the good alum heads are coated to prevent corrosion, and you're less likely to detonate an alum head eng.

I don't run in salt so corrosion is not a problem. Just the exact runner size and valves I am looking for. Only if they had the flow numbers. I know nothing is free, just wish they had more info, or someone who has had experience with them.

Wink Re: Has anyone used these Summit heads?

These iron heads seem to have pretty good specs. and the 308cc intake runner will be good for midrange torque and a BBC motor up to 540 inches with mild compression of lets say 9.0 to one. I think if your going to be running fresh water, I would spend a bit more and step up to a decent set of aluminum heads with similar specs that will let you run 10.0 to 1 with the same fuel octane. that extra point of compression is good for at least 25 more HP and a little more torque, not to forget you just thre another 100 lbs off the boat." Eventually they stopped using swords made of iron and stepped up to steel"!

I would want to know who made the valve springs and what valves are in it. I really doubt the valves are made of a material suitable for extended marine use.

Thumbs up Re: Has anyone used these Summit heads?

Yes, I used the 308 CC on my 540.
Using 345cc on a pair of 588's for a friend. Any bigger that 540 use 345cc. Dart heads are awesome ! They are really the way to go. Anyone need stock chevy heads ? I'd like to flush out my tremendous inventory. BBB
