hydro with removable hub
#2
If they were manufactured in the past couple years they should have the square bore hub which is compatible with the Mercury Flo Torque 2 system. In this case just push the hub out by hand.
If it was manufactured prior to 2 years ago it either has a welded hub, which needs to be machined out, or a pressed in rubber hub, which needs to be pressed out.
If in doubt either post a picture of the forward end of the prop or e mail it to us and we will be able to identify what hub type it has.

weve had the boat for a year and a half and havent ran it yet, but the props came with it, so im pretty sure they are the pressed rubber inserts. heres a pic, btw the propshaft is 1in and we are changind to 1 1/4

The props appear to be solid weld in hubs. If you want to convert these to fit the large XR hubs that's not a problem. We mill the old hub out and then weld in the new machined Hydro hub.

if i sent you all three what would be cost to make all three to fit xr?also, if i sent them at this moment what would be turn around time? they are 4 blades (not sure which model) two are 25 pitch (one left hand and one right) and one is a 26 (righthand) the boat had trip 525s and now we are going to make around 960hp each, but we changed the gear ratio from 1.5 to 1.35. would these props be near enough to be labbed to the correct pitch? thanks

To rehub each prop with a hydro XR hub the cost is $175. This includes removal and welding in the new hub.
Those props are the Quad IV model.
To be able to tell you if those props would work I need a little more information. What were the performance numbers of the boat before you took the motors out? Speed and rpm at wide open throttle? Do you have dyno sheets for the new motors? If so, at what rpm is peak torque and HP produced?
As far as thinning those props with 960 hp each I wouldn't do it. I can check the props when they come in and then let you know if there is anything wrong with them that may affect their performance. Then run the props and see what kind of numbers you get.
If those props are not close in pitch for what you need we have test props you can use and see what the boat likes That way you could try both 4 and 5 blade props and make a decision which is best for your application.

heres some info..the boat was a 1990 cigarette revolution. it had stock bravo drives with 525hp hawks. it ran near 75, but i am not sure of the rpms. with those engines it would have prob been around 5200.
(we bought the boat as a hull and built our own motors out of the hawk blocks) we now switched the ratio from 1.5 to 1.35 and the new drives have 2inch shorty satin sportmaster lowers. we have not dynoed the mills yet, but will get the sheets and post soon. we will probably be running higher rpms than 5200 (more like 5400-5500). the person who built the new drives(billet marine) said that we should be right on with the different ratio and maybe need to lab to get rpms down. we dont need the props in a hurry. we will be stopping in stpete around april 4-5ish. would it be possible to drop the props off and have the hubs done while we were in stpete or does it take longer? thanks

If you are in St Pete you, or anyone, is welcome to stop by. By the time you plan on being here our move into our new 6000 sf facility should be complete. It's in the same building so the address will not change. If you are going to be in St Pete for a few days we will have the hubs ready to go for you.
