I am seeing all these muffler for sale that are 4 and 4.5in and supposedly are good upt o 1200 horse...can you even use a 4.5 pipe up to 1200? we have stainless marine gen 3s with 5 inch pipes.....does that mean that a 4.5 in muffler size is too small i presume? I cant find any place that sells a regular slip in or tip for 5in pipes...i know ive posted abuot this before and its prob gettin annoying but i must be missing something cuse i no muffler do exist..
thanks

do you sell them or have a link to them, because the only 5in i saw they sold were the switchables which on their site is $1600x3=4800...and looking for alternative that would be somewhat affordable and not loose power. thanks

375,my mtor made 950 hp/950 ftlbs on dyno at 4600/5800,I'm running stainless marine 3's with 5 inch tails with water added into exhaust stream right at the tip. It was UNRULY LOUD to where it was just obnoxious. I put on the full time ggb mufflers with the 4" or 4 1/2" centers, boat lost NOTHING on top end at all. Just to be sure after getting it to run the best it could in the boat I took them off for hot boat weekend at Hardy Dam last summer, boat actually ran worse at idle and was down 1 1/2 mph on top end. My highest top speed last year was with the mufflers on it,I know it seems like a waste to have 5" dia exhaust only to neck it down to 4 1/2 inch mufflers but it works,at least with the ggb's,quit worrying, you'll be OK,Smitty
