anybody hear about this? i just went to put a carbonfiber order in for some custom stuff that i am doing and saw that most fabrics are out of stock due to a world wide shortage. checked several suppliers and got the same at all places. said it was brought on by increased demand in the military and civilian aircraft industry. luckiny i have enough on hand for the project at hand.

all those honda and acuras needed dash kits and new hoods i guess...

LOL . . . forgot about that stuff . . . most of that chit probably is that fake stuff . . . . wonder if the shortage has had any affect on the high end builders like MTI, Outerlimits and Skater?

cool . . . hey i have a new supplier (michigan fiberglass) and he is going to set me up for infusion on the batboat molds. i have been talking to him all week as i have been getting a bunch of supplies these days, want to get this project behind me and get on with building some boats.


hey heres a little known fact. the term fiberglass with two s's is the generic term and the term fiberglas with one s is the trademarked name used by Owens Corning

I read about that shortage a couple of months ago.

i actually didnt know about it till a few days ago. had enough on hand to keep me going on what i was doing and havent ordered any for a while. hows you little cat project going RBco.? i am meeting with a new supplier next week about cutting me some custom cores and doing an infusion precess on the batboats. should have some pics of the molds one of these days, got a gazillion dollars in materials trying to get on and stabilized.
