A brand new re-vamped run involving an entire day of activity. To coincide with an annual motorcycle run for charity Ocean Marine Marina/Boatel is sponsoring a poker run to be conducted Saturday May 20th. Festivities will be open to the public and include monster truck displays, classic cars, live music, food, and the itinerary is still being added onto. It's expected to be the first of what will grow into a major spring attraction in our area. The facilities and proximity to lots to do withihn walking/ferry distance, is second to none.

Rick are they going to put a limit on the number of boats? I am wanting to do the run but we all no how the weather is that time of the year.

Just went out and bought two full face helmets for the rain. I dont think I could force her to go inthe cabin after the Maryland trip. Just something about a cold rain to ruin a weekend.

There will be no limit. Since it's the first year roll out no way do we expect the 50 - 75 - 100 boats the more more well known and established runs get. With lessons learned from this year and of course further notoriety it'll become it's own animal in the out years. In the meantime it will be another great day with bang for the buck including some great festivities ahsore afterwards.

Here ya go. Give Ryan at Ocean Marine a call (757-321-7471/7433, tell him Rick sent ya) and they will setup forking your boat off the trailer and into the water. That would be the easiest if you're unfamilar with the area. At Ocean Marine which sets at the base of a small AmphitheaterYou'll be within walking distance of the Portsmouth Old Town nightlife, and a 5 minute ferry ride across to the Norfolk Waterside area and it's abundant nightlife. Of course we'll be doing a poker run during the day too.....
