I'm looking for a Duramax and I see some good deals on CarMax, etc. My only concern is why would somebody trade in a diesel pickup with only 25K miles? I can see why there are lots of used cars out there with 25K because of lease expirations, but I don't beleive that diesel pickups are big lease vehicles. My concern is getting a lemon. Does anybody have any insight into this?

I just traded my 04.5 LLY for an 06 LBZ. My trade has 15K miles.
Why? Because I can, and it makes $ sense for my purposes! I don't mind being in one pmt. to have at least one new warrantied vehicle in the drive at all times.
The sales manager is a friend of mine. I order my trucks. Strong ACV money for my trade. Ordered truck at invoice (again). With my $2000 GM card bump, $1000 secret incentive from his rep, and $500 on LBZ (or a rate), and A+ credit...
My payment is going to go DOWN with the same term and no cash in!
I'm trading up 2 years for a little over 6K OTD, and have already (with my boy's blessing) stripped the truck of every accessory item that didn't come on it...won't spend that $ again either.
Alot of these trucks come from such circumstances. From people that know how and when to make a deal on a new one.
The 04.5 is a charmer. It had the right break-in, and insane maintenence by me (ALL fluids, filters ect). Never been back...not once! Is the right color and not alot of Dmaxes stocked in these parts. He won't have it a week, if it's not already sold...
Somebody's gonna get a GOOD truck! It's a shame really to let it go, as it's been drop dead reliable and the fuel mileage just picked up at 10K.
Don't be overly suspicious of a low mile truck like mine. On a local trade, a good dealer will get you in touch with the previous owner for the 411 on the truck.
Okay....Really, I just didn't want to clean this one up this spring.
