Hello guys, nice forum btw. I recently bought (for a very cheap price) this 1984 monza 24 feet. It was twin outboard but Iam gonna make it single inout bravo 1:50 , but it has a strage deck that I have never saw on a monza or a 24 foot btw. Do any of you guys have any picks of difrent monzas 24? Also I rebuild an 502 with alot of head work new 2.29/ 1.88 inconel and new pistons0.30 also the intake manifold was port matched. What hp can i expect out of it now? mph? X dimention? Pleaze make sugestions on engine and boat thx.

it looks like someone built up the deck and fairing...the 24 Monza is very low freeboard and deck....here's one I am selling with a 383 sbc running 57 mph with a 19 pitch prop and there is much more to go...these boats can be very fast and handle the rough stuff very well, ...I know first hand

LongBlock,
I've got photos of a 24' Monza Raceboat from the early 80's-it has the same deck as yours. So yours is not a one-off and looks original. Where will you be boating? Good luck. Hope this helps.

Tanks very much for the replays guys. Donz that is a very nice monza you got there and sounds like good mph for a small block. You think 75+ is a reality for my boat? Robert I will be happy to see those pictures of the early 80's racing monza. Also I live in Puerto Rico on the east side so if any of you guys have been here you know it is a boaters paradise all year long ,the sad part is that offshore racing is over for now(wish was a big thing here during mid 80's and 90's, hope it begins on 2007 again) but we have some good pocker runs with over 100+ boats wish I think is a good number of participating boats.
