I would add Whipples when they are out of warranty.

No, you need a dually.

Waxing Frenzy is the best.

Default Re: What happened in the Active Thunder section?

I was just reading that one an hour ago, I didn't realize it got pulled.

If you followed the whole thread, it WAS NOT a hull failure.
It was $550 (or thereabouts) in Gel repair.
I think the explanation given by Sydwayz "time for some cooling off" was appropriate enough.

Readers Digest abridged version:
Customer needs some minor repairs done. Without repair, over time, could cause more serious damage.
Builder tries to set up time, or arrangements to have repairs completed.
Builder is High-End Custom, and is being recognized for being just that. By being overwhelmed with new work.
Builder endures Hurricane - minor set back.
Customer wants to call all the shots as to the when and where of said repairs.
Customer wants to throw all this on a forum with the intent to move to the "front of the line".

I look at as:
Builder is Busy as hell.
Has commitments to get people into their new boats for the season. AND probably has alot of money hanging out there that is waiting on the final delivery of this new boat. This would be the Builders profit (any money taken to this point went into construction materials and labor). If he jeopardizes the sale of these boats, he's out everything he put into them.
Builder is more than willing to make good on repairs. IF customer will be co-operative.
Customer wants repairs done - rightfully so.
Solution: Builder and Customer need to discuss this and agree on a formidable resolution, and stick to it to both's satisfaction.

I'm not on anybody's side here.
I think A/T builds a beautiful boat.
And I've also been told that my boat (not an A/T, and Not by a builder) would be fixed in 2 weeks (that turned into 6 weeks) during "the season".
Let these two parties deal with it privately - better for all IMO.

Very true - there will be the question.
But let them work it out and post the results if they so choose.

Kinda like the "RiceHauler" thread. Don't speak until it's over.
