Default what is the rpm range for a 731 cam?

Ive got a 731 in a carb'd hp500. whats the dropoff point? Im hitting 5600 and wondering if im hitting a wall. I was about to put on a taller set of props when i think a head gasket went. just curious where this thing is dropping off in power.

You might be past it already. Try a 741 if you like to rev that high.

I dont like to rev that high. I would have went with the 741 if i didnt have the gils.

Im just wondering if im running out of power and can twist a bigger prop. i guess only one way to find out

My HP motor would spin 5800 with the 741 no problem. Not that I ran it that hard all the time. Also was running the merc/Gil exhaust with silent choice.
