Default dana manifold hose routing

i got my new dana marine manifolds last week and i cant figure out what to do with these two extra hose's off the t-stat houseing. i did a search but the info was kinda foggy. they would go to merc riser on my stock manifolds. i got everything else hooked up but these two hose's. can i just plug them up? thanks--C.J.

Hi, you shouldn't plug them. The older Merc 6 hose housings had full time water flowing to the riser and part time water flowing to the bottom of the manifold. The hose that was on the bottom of your stock system only has water flowing through it when the thermostat opens. The proper way to plumb this installation is to join the two hoses together and plumb into the bottom of each manifold. If you have any further questions or need any help, feel free to let me know.
