Did I read this right?
Is Ken making an attempt at breaking his 317 mph record there in Crescent City???
"The highlight of the week, though, will be Monday through Wednesday with the appearance of 65-year-old Ken Warby, the current holder of the world water speed record at 317.6 mph. Warby’s crew from Australia will be on hand to go after the mark in a boat that Warby himself designed with jet engines n the latest engine making 9,000 hp.
“They ran the boat at over 200 mph in Australia and they’re now bringing it over here,” Baker said. “They’ve got an airplane-like checklist of tests they go through before going into the water and they like to bump it up 50 mph each time they run it.”
