If There's Not Someone Making Gear Sets, There Sure Should Be.....the Profit Margin Has To Be Huge If They Already Have The Equipment! Not Just Gear Sets, But All Kinds Of Internals. Trs Parts Are Starting To Dry Up Especially.

The company I'm with has manufactuering process that is based on the machines that power the flow water jet cutting stuff, same machine used on American Chopper and Hot Rod to make rims and cut other metal parts out with....

It would not take much to get the rest of the equipment needed to cut with and I'm seriously thinking about it, as a sideline.......

Only two minor problems: quantity and metallurgy. Solve both of them and you've got it made...

From what I understand it's not the cost of making the gears, it's the cost of making the pieces that forge the gear.

If I remember correctly, IMCO said it would cost around $150K to have it made, that's why they don't do it.

The flow water jet you just put your shape wanted in its computer and put the block of material on the cutting table and it bangs out whatever you need.

Call Steve @ 800 932 9120 x210

He makes a lot of different marine parts for a lot of different manufacturer's. I know he makes spline shafts. If not, he may be able to put you on the right track.
