OK, here's the deal. I'm considering a purchase of a new boat that is located in Fort Lauderdale area. The boat and trailer plus gear is estimated right around 14000# +/-. I need to get the boat brought up to Greensboro NC. (about 725 miles one way) While my plans are to purchase a new tow vehical to handel this package, I hate to rush out and buy one now on short notice. Has anyone used a transportation company? Who? Good idea? Bad idea? How about any brothers coming this way? I'm looking to do this quick. Like this week or next?

I have used Horizon Transport in the past with good results 1-800-320-4055 make sure you get the actual driivers cell # so you can stay in contact with him/her

These guys are out of Lake Norman http://www.horsepower-unlimited.com/ Last year when I talked to them they were 2$ a mile one way. I might tow it at that price myself.
