I have been asked the question why a 85 30 ft Scarab with TRS's is blowing the props right out when trying to come on plane. Right now props are spinning out. My suggestion was to try spinning them in. Does anyone know more about this scenario, or has ran across it?
Thanks guys

I have an '86 scarab panther w/ TRS's, and had a heck of a time planing out, always blowing the props out. I have quicksilver 25's on. I took them to my local prop shop and they told me that all of my cupping was washed out of my props. They added more cupping to my props which dropped my rpm's about 200, and then they thinned the blades down a little to give me 50 more rpm's. It is a day and night difference. I now get on plane in any wave conitions. before I had problems planing in any water over 2' waves.

OUT, might try IN this year. I didn't need to change my props all I did was add cupping at my local prop shop. It was like $108 to weld the dings, add the cupping, balance, pitch them back to 25", and thin them down.
