Default New Pumps?

2000 502 Mpi's with cool fuel - port fuel pressure when running 43psi (o.k.), starboard fuel pressure 35psi (too low). I plan on pulling both cool fuel units apart and change both the strainer and pressure regulators. The units are tough to get to - should I change the electric pumps while I have them apart? I know they are expensive ($150 ea?), but I don't want to pull them down twice. Anyone have any experience with this? Do the pumps loose pressure, or just quit?

If I replace the pumps, anyone have a good source for them? Most of the online supply shops list it as not available.

Thanks.
