I just had the other battery changed on my diesel truck this morning. They suck! The batteries have two problems that occur within 18-24 months: the side posts get torn out and the battery's internal cell walls fall apart (causing the battery to get really hot and blow acid vapor out the vents). The truck is way out of warranty (70K in 30 months) but the batteries are warranted for 5 years/75K miles under a TSB/ recall type deal, BUT IF YOU DON'T COMPLAIN THEY WILL TRY TO SELL YOU NEW BATTERIES. I have now gotten both changed under warranty and this is on all GM AC delco batteries.

I have purchased about 25 GM vehicles over the past 15 years. After factory warranty is up at 36k miles, we switch the batteries out for Interstate due to numerous problems with the delco ones leaking and causing a huge mess.
