Post Cigarette Question (for anyone)

I often like to cruise the web looking at boats. It's winter, so no cool boats coming into the harbor in Michigan. So, I surf the web

I typically look at Cigs, cause I love the cool paint jobs on them. So, I see all kinds of power in 38 Top Guns, which is the majority of Cigs I see.

My question is for anyone who may know how fast these Top Guns run with various power. I'd suspect any Top Gun from 1992 till 1999/2000 will run the same with same hp, and the TS will be faster. BUt, I dont' see many quotes on speed in the ads, maybe just not hitting the ads at the right time...

So, anyone know how fast a 38 Top gun is with:

twin 502's/bravos
twin 500 efi's bravos
twin 600 hawks
or any other power?

Mark

Speeds for a straight bottom full cabin Top Guns:

twin 502's/bravos 70-73mph
twin 500 efi's bravos 73-75mph
twin 600 hawks 78-82mph

A 42 Tiger straight bottom with Merc 900sc and #6 drives will run 94-98mph

Our F-2 38' Cig runs low 90's with the 500 EFI's and XR drives. Keep in mind that this is a full race boat...no cabin..no back seat...no extras...twin step...extensive kevlar/carbon fiber. I agree that Cigarettes are rough water boats. It is their ride and handling that earned them the right to call themselves an "American Offshore Legend."
