Champ Car racer Katherine Legge is set for a wet test of a different kind next week - in a powerboat.
The PKV rookie, fresh from her eighth place in the Long Beach Grand Prix, will test her skills in P1 Powerboats 's boats, Wettpunkt and Sony, near Rome, on April 26 and 27.
It will be the latest racing machinery that Legge has tested. She also tested a Minardi F1 car last November, and Team GBR's A1 machine in Dubai in December.
Legge will join the leading P1 contenders at their official pre-season test. The Powerboat P1 world championship opens in Malta with a double-header Grand Prix on the weekend of May 13/14.
"I'm really looking forward to trying my hand in P1 powerboats," Legge said. "It's going to be interesting to compare them with my PKV Racing Champ Car."
